Spring is here. Time for new projects

I was born in this small alpine village 40 years ago, and I still live here. I am surrounded by mountains, sometimes white and sometimes green, and trees…a lot of trees. I have been walking between those trees for many years, I know all of them. I even saw some of them born….and some dying. Every single tree has his own history, his own reason to born in a certain point, and their lifes are so different that their shapes they all look the same, but different. Even the wood inside has his own lines; impossible to find two pieces of wood that are exately the same. When I start a new sculpture, I am alwasy a bit inbarassed by this concept: I am using something unique! I can have millions of different ideas, but they will be influenced by the piece of wood I will use. Maybe I will chose it to fit, or maybe it wil arrive in my hands by accident. Anyway, the material has a huge part in my art.
